Trust me, it's not like I wanted to spend that kind of money, but I wanted to get another opinion before I get screwed over by another shop.

Did you get the driveshaft checked? I had a truck where the u-joints on the shaft were bad and that thing vibrated like CRAZY.

When the cost of repairs equals the value of the vehicle, dump it. Your almost at the break even point.
