Default Shaking at 60mph+

Hey all,

I'm having some trouble with my 2004 F-150 new body style and was hoping someone here might have an answer. Anytime I got on the interstate there were was a noticeable shaking. I figured it was my tires since they hadn't been balanced in 25,000 miles and had one oddball tire. After getting new tires, wheels, and a 4" lift with front end stabilizers it's even worse. After 3 balances and alignments. I have new balljointd and control arms as well. Any idess?

U joints or hanging parking brake. Naturally a lift is going to make any shake worse. Big tires and lift pretty much guarantee some shake.

I definitley expected some shake. But when I can't read my phone when it's on my dash mount it's time to start asking questions lol.

when you had the re-balance done ...did they break the bead and rotate the tire on the wheel and then re-balance it ? Just had the same thing happen to me with my wife's Lexus and a brand new set of Michelin's LTX M/S. took it back the 3rd time and that's what they did and it rides smooth as silk now.

I'm not sure on that one. It's in the shop now and I'm waiting on a call about what their verdict is. I've also seen that the drive train itself could be an issue. It's just one damn thing after another with this truck.

Griding in the front right wheel well under light acceleration at about 45 mph, whining from the rear end, missfires, the transmission squeaks when it shifts, ball joints, control arms. I'm $10,000 in repair costs and i bought the thing for $11,200 10 months ago at 128,000 miles

So... guessing you did not do that work yourself? None of that should've added up to ten grand

nope, im a college student that works two jobs. I don't have the time or the means to do repairs of that scale.

Most of that is actually REALLY cheap, and if you can afford ten thousand dollars' worth of repairs, you would've definitely had the means. The tools for all that wouldn't cost nearly that much. The question is the time, then. Actually most of that can be done in a weekend. You may want to consider investing in some tools, if you haven't already. Even a thousand dollars can go a hell of a long way. A good socket set, wrenches, deep sockets, pliers, jack, jack stands... we're not even up to $400 yet and that's what you'll use more than anything else.
