many many threads on this already.
Briefly:
1. Misrepresented output - false advertising
2. Output pattern NOT compatible with stock reflectors.
3. Poorly constructed
4. 'Cree' claims - not always Cree emitters used - more false advertising
5. Little cooling fans are an absolute joke - in fact most of the heatsinking designs are inadequate.
6. These crooks ar simply praying upon the ignorant
7. A proper high quality HID projector retrofit will simply blow away any of these POS units, in beam precision, output, uniformity, width, distance and reliability. There is NO comparison - and is what I'd recommend that you invest in if yer looking to truly and effectively improve yer lighting performance.
Have a look at the TRS LED units for heads - top shelf and they Unequivocally state these are NOT to be used in automotive low beam applications.
BYW - TRS does sell some very nice XB Led fog replacement systems.

I'm returning the LED bulbs I just bought and installed. they are bright and they are pretty, but they don't throw light down the road as effectively as halogens.
The money I get back is going into a proper HID retrofit.

Similarly - you can't use these with any effect in a projector. Absolutely the incorrect emitter design and placement. Just so you know, both OEM reflector and quality projector emitter location and orientation tolerances are measured in fractions of a millimeter. By the way, exactly which projectors are you using?
Or should I just go and get some HIDs from DDM tuning with a lifetime warranty?

It applies to any housings - there is no appreciable design rigor that defines which housings they would work in, except, as TRS states, as a high-beam / auxiliary source only.

Please tell me you are joking. DDM, like all cheap chinglish HID's is garbage. And, Good luck actually getting warranty service.

OR - if you wait for their sales / use their coupon codes, and buy their closeouts/b-stock components you could indeed install an entry level retrofit into yer existing heads for under $200, all-in. Which would 110% blow away what you have now, or any LED replacement bulb.
I suspect you paid more than that fer ye Spyders, so, you could have had much better for less from the get-go...
Nothing else will offer any improvement without making the beam pattern worse. High powered HID's or halogens in those marginal plastic projectors will incur the risk of melting, or worse, a fire.
Sorry.
