Default Another suspension and tire question

Just received my Rancho quick lift struts and new shocks for my 2007 Super crew. I want to level the truck and then need to purchase tires. Currently it has 275/65/18 Michelin's on it. The truck has 3.55 gears. Will a BFG A/T 305/65/18 be too much tire for my truck after I get it leveled or will I be better off sticking with a 275-285 sized tire? I was also planning on using the factory chrome 18 inch wheels. Thanks

Here's a link to a sticky with tons of info on wheels and tires with a level. I would start there

My apologies if I posted this in the wrong forum. I can pretty much figure out what width tires and wheels I can use on my leveled truck, but my main concern is how tall can I go before I run into issues with the stock 3.55 gears ? Will a 33 inch tall tire be too much ?

The tire and fitment guide is a "sticky thread" at the top of this forum section; your thread does not have to move there. No worries.

A lot of people here run 33s with 3.55s and have no problems with them. Quite a few even run 35s.

Maybe you can get a tuner that adjusts for tires? Don't know for sure for your truck.

I think he wants to know if it will affect his performance as far as torque and shift points etc.

Yes that is what I'm looking for feedback on. Back in the dark ages I ran 38 and 40 inch tires on F150 trucks geared with 4.11 and 3.55 gears, but those trucks always had the granny gear type 4 speed transmission. Thanks
