Just finished mine today. Painted the chrome surround to match. Very happy with the way I came out.

just wanted to see a pic of your heads w/switchback leds.

Also was wondering what you all thought about tinting the tails. Should I tint the entire light or leave the reverse section alone? I am eventually putting leds in all the bays so maybe that is a little contradicting but none the less I like the looks.

I am not opposed to adding a tailgate led strip if it turns out to dark for the reverse light and such. Oreilly's has an Anzo 5 function tailgate led light on sale for $49.

Here's what the bulb looks like in the headlight. No more "orangeish" glare from the ugly run signal bulb.



Here's what they look like lit up. Pure white the turn signal is still amber but only when the signal is on. (I tried to snap a pic but its to difficult for my phone)



If you decide to use switchbacks and or led turn signals you'll need to change out the flasher/blinker unit under the steering column. There was a thread about it around here somewhere just search "switchback" and you should be able to find it. I'll try to post it later.

As far as blacking out your tail lights go: that's just personal preference. I chose to do mine solid black, but I wanted a completely blacked out look. I have a camper shell so backing up is already difficult, losing a lil light when backing up didnt make it any harder. I also plan on adding a LED tailgate light bar in a few weeks to compensate for the loss of light. Just for others safety.

if you tint the tails, you should tape off the reverse light section. Just helps to see and especially if you have tinted windows.





Mine and my buddies trucks with tinted tails with the reverse section taped off. I also have my reverse lights from Nick on here and they are super bright.

I plan on smoking my tail lights soon too, but anyways, for the original thread, i'd say go with saleen grill, looks great on a black truck
