There's little tabs on the inside that snap together. You got to pry it apart gently though. Its pretty easy to figure out, just if you want to sell your stock grille be gentle. If you don't care break them all to get it apart haha

Yeah I just installed mine the other day and got irritated with trying to separate them and just broke the tabs. Unless you plan on selling or possible putting the stock grille back in just snap off the tabs attached to it. Just be careful you snap off the tabs attached to the grille not the surround. It was a huge PITA to try and separate it the other way.
