I'm also thinking of taking mine off. I put the 2.5" quick lift from rancho, but I think the runners make it not look as high as it could. Mine is the 07 xlt screw with the chrome package.

I just put on the duratracts. I have the spacers that go on top of your coil overs if you want them. (I see you're in mi.) But I would suggest the rancho.

I took mine off about two weeks ago to rhino line them. I have a 2wd with 20's, level kit and 1" block in the rear, 33" street tires. It make the truck seem much taller without a doubt. I had a few buddies ask if I put a small lift on. Being 6'5" I thought I never used them. Once I removed them, I realized that I did use them a good but. I'm anxious to put them back on and pay attention to when I use them. I do know short people (anybody under 6'2") to me use them all the time.

Ya if you're gonna keep it at stock height I'd take them off. I've got a 3" lift and 35's. I took mine off for a while and it was a bit too high even for me and I'm 6'4" so I put them back on. Running stock they'd be gone IMO
