My son has a 2005 ford f150 crew cab. He has purchased a aftermarket radio and amp for it. Can you guys help me in finding the best place to run the amp power wire thur the firewall. I really want to do this right the first time that's why i am asking. Thanks

a simple answer is there is a black grommet on the drivers side of the fire wall. if you crawl under the dash and pull back on a slit in the insulation you will see it. I can take a picture of what it looks like. it's not hard to find

I ran my amp cable through the passenger side firewall grommet. It was kind of hard to reach, but is easier to hide the cable than going across the engine. Once you have the amp cable through the firewall, you can pull up the plastic trip along the bottom of the door and tuck the cable under there to wherever he is going to mount the amp at. I have mine under my passenger seat secured to the carpet with velcro.

I have a 04-08 f150 crew cab so it's the same ohh I had to cut some insulation so the amp has air to breath and I put a small piece of wood on each corner to give a gap between amp and wall and I live in miami in hit weather blasting my music and never has over heated so it's safe
