Default rim offset for 35's on a 6in lift

My college son has a 2004 Ford F150 crew cab XLT 2wd (new body style)
he is planning on a 6in suspension lift from Procomp. He is also putting Anthem 20" rims on 35" M/T. My question is what wheel should he choose
-12mm or +18mm wheel.

-12 looks the best IMO and especially with a 6" lift

Pro comp will state...the back spacing required for wheels used with their lifts... don't think the offset matters...

For looks, I would go with -12. But keep in mind, if you have to pass a state inspection and need your tires to be covered by fender flares, you will have issues with coverage. I have -18 offset with my setup and the front wheels stick out 1" past my bushwhacker pocket flares, which provide 3" of coverage, so -12 offset would also not be covered. If you don't mind swapping wheels for an inspection, or if you just happen to know someone that will give you a sticker, go with the -12. If you don't want that headache, go with +18.

back spacing and offset tell the same story. i like to go with back spacing because 4.5 inches of back spacing is the same inner clearance to the steering knuckles, control arms, blah blah blah no mater what the rim width... where offset is relative to the width of the rim
