Default The right F150???

Hi All,
I have found an F150 I really like. It is a 2004 5.4 fx4 with 78,000 miles for $16,900. It is in good shape and runs well. Just wanted to see if you feel this is a good deal or not. Also I really like the lariat package and this truck is not, will I regret not getting the lariat? Thanks in advance for all your help!

not sure how much this will help.
I live in arizona and as of july 10 I bought my 2004 FX4 5.4 liter with 109000 miles on it for ten. Its stock to the bone and I paid 10900 and it booked for about 13,200. So if you're going private party sale I would consider this a good deal as long as you have reliable info that this is a well maintained truck. if so see if you can haggle the price a little more just in case there's some wiggle room. If its a dealer and thats the sticker price you can probably haggle them down to at 16,500 out the door

To much. I wouldn't pay that for an 04'... Keep looking around you should beable to find a better deal.

Trucks in your area could be more but atleast in AZ I would say not a good deal.

And Lariat part, it's all up to you. Will YOU regret getting clothe seats vs leather? Leather is sweet. Cleans up nicely, but it does get hot especailly since I live in AZ. Doesn't bother me much. Mine did start to rip but I plan on replacing my buckets and console with a clothe benchseat with fold down center console in the future when my seats get extremely bad..

FX4 is a darn good truck as well. It would do circles around a Lariat in 4x4 mode offroad.

It all depends on what the user plans to do with the truck. The price does seem high though. I guess it's good for all of us owners to know our trucks are holding good resale value.

there is no difference offroad in a lariat except for the skid plates and "offroad" shocks. i can go anywhere in my lariat that my buddy can go in his FX4. just an FYI.
the FX4's are sweet though, i just love the interior in the lariat better.

i really don't think the shocks and skid plates are going to make that much of a difference.

it most definitely won't 'do circles' around a 4x4 lariat off road.

When I was looking at buying my '05 5.4 4x4, I took the step down. (The price and the miles were both lower) One thing to say... No regrets here. It still does everything I need it to and I love this truck.

Hold out for the Lariat, but look for one with a limited slip. FYI, picked up my 06 in December with 100k for 14k.
