I have done alot of reading and everyone was saying the pink and black was the reverse Wire. But i found this one on fordf150 and it was the right one would have saved me so much time so i thought i would save someone else the trouble


the Reverse Wire is located above the fuse box kick plate on the passenger's side under the glove box. remove the plastic kick plate by pulling the back end of it towards you like a door.

the wire you are looking for is a GREEN w/ YELLOW STRIPE wire.

 

The black/pink is also a reverse wire.

 

It may be but this one took me all of 1min to hook up my reverse cam so maybe it will save someone else some time.

 

X2. If you want to pickup the reverse wire at the rear of the truck, it is the black w/ pink stripe.

 

Handy.

 

For reverse cam on your deck most people tap power of the camera to reverse lights and now will tap the reverse signal wire on the back of the deck to this GREEN w/ YELLOW STRIPE wire.

When I hooked up the backup camera in my 05 F150, I just tapped into the backup light wire by the taillight housing.

 

As I have this same task coming up shortly, Thank you so much!

 

right, but this eliminates the need to pull a new wire from the back of the truck up to your head unit
