Default Retrofit Pic Request: Black shrouds or chrom shrouds

I need help visualizing the look I'm after.

I've decided I am going to do a retrofit:
Painted black bezels
Mini D2S 4.0
Apollo 2 Shrouds
Leave side markers orange
Use stock orange parking light bulbs

What I'm not sure about is whether I want to paint both the parking light bowl and the bezel black, or leave both chrome, such as this:

I'm looking for pictures of both setups installed on the truck: The one pictured above, and the above with the bowl and shroud painted black.

It would be great to see pics of them with the lights off and the lights on.

Anyone out there have these exact configurations and have pictures to share?

Thanks! That's my color truck too, and same wheels even, badass!

Any pictures with the parking lights on?

I'm wondering if I paint those reflector bowls for the turn signals if it will reduce the light output of the parking lights too much. Otherwise, I think all black would be best.

I found these pics but I'm still wondering what they look like with the parking lights on

I can tell you that if you use a quality LED switchback for the turn signal bulb, it will be plenty bright. I'll look for a pic.

I'd imagine painting the reflective bowls black for the turn signals will definitely reduce their brightness.

I'd personally keep them chrome for function. But I do get the look your going for.

I agree with you. I'm leaning towards leaving those chrome. For similar reasons I intend to leave the side reflectors orange too.

I wonder if anyone has painted their projector shroud black but left the reflector orange and turn signal bowls chrome. With the orange turn signal bulb in there it would have more of an orange look than a chrome look, which might look good next to a black projector shroud and the orange reflector on the other side. Or it might look like the truck has a black eye... Hmm.

I do the same thing with reflector shrouds and often run dawn and dusk with just my switchback running lights to save hours on my Osram Nightbreakers. The switchbacks are surprisingly bright

Same here, I run the switchbacks with my yellow fogs dawn and dusk. I dont need the light, but it helps the other cars to see me and keeps the hours down on my LED heads.
