Default Replacing rear power window weather stripping

Has anyone ever replaced the weatherstripping around the rear power window?

I bought the kit, but the strips all appear to be longer than necessary, free float in the channels...is there an adhesive that can be placed in the channels?

Just need some guidance.

Thanks!

I personally said screw dealing with it and got a whole new window from safelite. $500 and a lifetime warranty. Never have to worry about it again.

So, you replaced the entire back window with a single pane of glass, getting rid of the slider?

Nope. Full power slider, factory tint.

Trim the strips and epoxy them in place. I epoxied the factory stripping (interior, so it really didn't matter) when mine started to pull out.
