Default Programmer trans question.

I'm thinking about putting an edge evolution on my 08 4x4 with a 4.6. I've been told that there is an issue with a weak c clip on the overdrive that holds the servo in. I heard that they are prone to breaking when you increase the shifting firmness. Is this true? Has anyone had this problem?

I'm a little surprised that nobody has any thought on this issue. Is it just a freak happening in my friends truck?

I had asked that question about evo's and tranny failures with the same number of replies you have. Even though my truck is basically stock, I will be going with another brand.

The lack of responses perhaps is your answer....no one is having the issues you are asking about.

I'll assume you searched this site to see if it came up in the past?

You may be right bucko. I tried the search option but it's not wanting to work for my iPhone. I'll try again when I can get to a PC.

All tuners increase tranny line pressure. My truck had 20% firmer shift pressure. It actually reduces the wear on clutches by reducing the amount of slip allowed.
