Default Temp exhaust leak fix

My 06 sounds like it has an exhaust leak, I can't pinpoint the exact location but the rearmost stud on the drivers side is broke off. Local shop quoted me $400 to drill out and replace the gasket

For the time being, do you think I could make something like this work?
Amazon.com: DEI 010121 Black 2" Exhaust Wrap - 15': Automotive Amazon.com: DEI 010121 Black 2" Exhaust Wrap - 15': Automotive

No, that will not work. That is simply a wrap to control heat. The exhaust pulses that come from your engine are enough to blow through that if you have a slight leak somewhere in your exhaust. I would do my best to isolate the sound and determine exactly where the leak is coming from. As far as drilling the stud out, I don't know what a fair price is but labour here in Vancouver is roughly $120-$140/HR at the dealer. Be prepared to spend at least 1.5 hours on this.
