Default Removing rear ford emblem

I am going to repaint my ford emblems, so I need to get them off there. What is the best way to remove the rear emblem? Then how do I get it back on?

I believe a hair dyer will loosen up the adhesive but don't quote me on it. I'm going to try it today with the dealer emblem on the tailgate.

Default Removal

Heat will loosen it up abit. I used some 14# test fishing line and just flossed it off. Haha, but it worked well and didn't take too long either.

I painted them a couple different colors, it would have been a pain to leave it on... I got it off there and have both the front and back ones painted. Just waiting for them to dry now!

I got it off there with a hair dryer, floss, screwdriver, and towel. ( the towel was to protect the paint... I used 3m emblem adhesive to get it back on.
