Default Removing fender badge adhesive!

So I got a pair of saleen simulated fender vents. when I took the old emblems off the fenders they left behind adhesive on the body. This is causing the new fender vents to not sit flush with the body. How can I get the glue off? has anyone tried to sand it?

I used a hair dryer and a plastic putty knife which got most of it off. Then, I used goo gone to get the rest off. Good luck!

There is a rubber wheel, looks like an eraser. Hooks into your drill or die grinder. Body shops use them all the time. I can't think of the exact name for it right now.

Here ya go. I'm sure you can find one cheaper. Maybe one of the auto parts stores.

Lots of goo gone and rubbing with a cloth will do it too.

^^ THis. Quick easy and cheap. Won't take the paint off and waaaayyyy easier than scrubbing with goo gone. Go to your local autobody supply shop and for like 10 - 15 bucks and your drill you will get them off in minutes....

a warm day, hair dryer or heat gun and elbow grease/goo gone goes a long way. Not worth it to spend 10-15 on the wheel unless you have other reasons to buy it.

I have a rubber wheel and it works wonders. I bought it years ago (My dad does body work for a living). I have used it to remove numerous sets of vent visor left behind 3M tape, fender vent adhesive and sticker residue. It has never once left a mark or scratch, even when I have had the wheel going to where smoke comes off of it. Hit it with a little wax afterwards and you never knew anything was there. Its almost to the wear mark now that says to stop using it.
