Another FX2 grille question

Thinking about swapping my FX4 grille for the FX2 one. Found this on eBay, but the ad says "Please NOTE these have had all the surrounding attaching tabs ground off, as shown in the pics. However they can still be mounted fine and work well." What does that mean exactly? How hard would it be to swap these out if the "ground tabs" are missing. Sorry if this is a duplicate post, but I couldn't find one using the search function. Thanks!
