Ok so i went through the whole key sequence again with ur direction with not using the key. I also tryed different sequences once it started as far as key in brake putting it in drive got the truck to start once with the remote and not having the PATS light freaking out and when i tried it again no start and the PATS light going nuts i am kinda at a loss and think the module is shot and wont hold the memory of the remote start.....any thoughts to that,?

It's got to be your bypass. I watched the video again and the two keys acknowledged, the remote start started that time but the PATS light flashed like crazy and that surprised me. I don't think the bypass is transmitting.

Are you up for finding it? Highly likely it'll be under the drivers side of the dash. You can pull the bottom plastic under the steering wheel (it's 4 clips) NOT the column (that's screwed in). Behind that is a metal plate with 4 8 mm bolts (I believe 8mm). Take that off then you should have clear access in there. You'll see the remote start unit there somewhere with a bunch of wires, then there should be a bypass module with likely thin wires, probably 6 or so wires. Unplug the connector for a few seconds, plug it back in then try remote starting. I'm hoping it's the type that has constant power but is triggered after as that may fix it. In this case, it's likely the transponder code from that bypass is still in your factory ECU's memory.

Too bad you weren't closer, I'd say bring it over haha.

Depending where they put it you might even be able to just look under the drivers side of the dash. I've hid mine a bit so it's far easier for me to take that panel off.

I'll see if I have a picture after

Yea ill have to see if i can find it. Either tomorrow or the next day depending on weather ill have a chance to get into it and see. Hopefully it can just be reset like you think and if the bypass module is fried and wont reset can you get just that or would i need the whole system? And yea i dont think AB( i assume alberta) is up the road from chicago haha although me and a buddy are waiting for some snow in northern wisconsin to go snowmobiling next month haha

I need a snowmobile, I've got a quad haha.

I'm hoping yours is the style that I've just installed in a vehicle recently. Like I say, it's always powered but has a trigger wire from the remote starter. Mine is an older style and is only powered when the remote starter kicks in, but it prevents this type of situation (assuming that's what it's doing on yours). So hopefully unplugging it and plugging it back in works. If you see it, take a picture if you can or send me the part # on it.

The good news is from everything I see there's nothing wrong with your remote start unit. That's the more expensive item and the more difficult to replace/install item (more wires). The bypass worst-case is an easier swap. If you have it all open like that and aren't confident with the wiring, a shop might even just charge you really cheap to swap it as you already have it accessible to them. I've bought bypasses for around $50-60 Canadian here (not sure in US).

Ok i went to start looking for modules and wires and like i mentioned before electronics are my weak point so i unhooked the ground off the battery (as i always do when i mess with more than a bulb) and realized before i look to find the bypass to disconnect the power......i just did haha so let it sit for about 10 min figured i would reconnect it and see what happens and low and behold it all works!!!! didn't even have to reprogram with key sequence and didn't even loose the presets on the radio.......So thanks again homer for all the incite and help i really appreciate is
