Default Reman Engine. Oil change time. what oil?

Hey guys, I have a Reman engine with a good warranty. Oil change after first 500. Im at 450 now, and it says 10w30. what should i use. I believe conventional is in it now. can I switch to a synthetic. and should I keep 10w30?

Default Oil change for reman engine

My opinion, if its a 5.4. My book says 5w-20 semi synthetic. I've been told by the stealer techs to follow that. But, if its a reman by Ford, then its what ever they say. Good luck!

not from ford. but my paperwork says 10w30. should i sacrifice a quart or two of synthetic? or drain and fill?
