Default Rear Window Leaking

Ok guys,

I discovered after some very heavy rains that the rear window of my truck is leaking. I know its obviously got to do with the seal of the rear window. Short of pulling the window off resealing and getting into dealing with all that is there a easier solution or is that the only route?

Let me know,
neil

I had this problem. It is usually just the seal in the third brake light. I got a new led one and no more leaking.

x2 on the 3rd break light BUT you don't have to buy a new light. Just go to home depot or lowes and get a little roll of weather striping, medium compression, and take the 2 phillips screws out of the 3rd light, flip it over and either remove the weather stripping and reapply new or place the new weather stripping on top of the old.

Fixed my issue.

Thumbs up just in case

I'm with those other guys on the 3rd brake light, but if it turns out to be the window go to autozone or whatever and get some silicone windshield sealant. Then using a thin flathead screwdriver, carefully pry up (just a little) both sides of the rubber seal holding the window in place and squirt a light amount of the silicone into the seal. Then apply some on the outside of the seal all around and that should get it done. I did this with my windshield and it has worked pretty well. If it is a huge leak than maybe have the glass resealed professionally, but for small leaks this works great and should last.

in my case my rear window leak's too but my situation isnt normal lol

my 3rd brake used to leak until i got my new one and it fixed most of the leaking, odds are your back seat dosnt look like mine so im sure fixing the seal on the 3rd brake light would be fine
