Default Rear end bouncing?

I have been having a issue for the last six months. While driving down the road, not matter what speed, it feels like my rear end is either bouncing excessively or shaking. It still has the original shocks, but when I press down on the tail gate, they seem to act just like their supposed to. I just want a nice smooth ride. I just bought new BFGs All Terrain KO and I just dont want to it to eat my tires to shred. I dropped a little bit of cash on those and cant afford to buy a new set anytime soon. I have already measured from centercap to centercap on both sides. They were pretty much dead on. Even had someone follow me to see if my rear end was running dog legged. Negative there too!

Pick up trucks are designed to haul stuff, work on jobs sites etc etc,not being driven around as commuters like most of us do. Put some weight in the back and watch how smooth the truck becomes without bouncing or driving like crap.
A few weeks ago I had 3 concrete steps and the box was full of dirt to the rails, the truck drove sooooooooo smooth it felt like I was driving a high end car!

I bought used tires before and they would not balance cause as the tire shop said they where worn to the other truck they where on.. How long have your tires been on the truck? Any weights missing from the wheel?

I'd replace the rear shocks, not an expensive item and it may or may not solve ur problem

Is it a suspension issue or a vibration? Tires out of balance will make your bed dance all over the place.

Ive heard if the tires are balanced on the inside it will make the truck shake but if balanced on the out side it won't make the bed shake.

how many miles? mine has now almost 75k, still in the original shocks and rides fine. if less than that, you may need to put some weight in the bed, it makes it to ride better. more than 75k? get some new shocks... Bilstein are a popular option in this forum.
look at your tires... if they look like an alligator and not just flat... your shocks are due for sure.
if you press down in the tailgate... i bet you cant press down around 1000lbs which is what this shocks are suppose to handle in weight in the bed...

Check your front suspension, tie rods, ball joints, sway bar links.

It comes down to having no weight in the bed.75k on shocks is nothing for trucks that are used as everyday DD with the occasional dump run or atv loaded in the bed.
