Rear Axle Wheel Seal and Pinion Seal Replacement
I have a slight leak from my pinion seal and one of my axle seals, so time to replace the seals. My question is this:
-Has anyone used the Duralast seals? Have they had any issues?
[Rear Wheel seals: 6.99/ea. Pinion seal: 7.99
-My other option from Autozone is National brand seals, how about those?
[Rear Wheel seals: 9.99/ea. Pinion seal: 12.99
-Or should I pay more than double and get the ones from the Stealership?
[Rear Wheel seals: 14.07/ea. Pinon seal: 22.20
My Truck:
2004 Lariat 4x4 SCAB 142K miles, 9.75" Ring, 3.73, NLS

I did mine but I wasn't fussy about the brand . Just be sure you look at the video in doing it . Mark the drive shaft etc put everything back the exact same way . Measure the threads on the pinion seal because I found counting the revolutions tiresome . Just put it back like you found it . Clean out diff with brake cleaner and change fluid do a good job and use the app-orate oil mine was limited slip so I added friction multiplier . Use the special sealing stuff for the diff that's resistant to that. Mines been fine for 100k .

I went back to try and see which seals I used when I replaced the rear axle shafts and drive shaft. I think they were Durolast but couldn't find the receipt. I've had pretty good luck with the Durolast parts so far so as long as you did it right I wouldn't worry.about it.
