Rattle noise

Default Rattle noise

I have a 08 f150 screw 4x4. 5.4 . i am hearing a rattle or something. Coming from the rear drivers side. I only hear it when i accelerate then when i let off the gas it stops. And it doesnt happen all time but happens often.

Miles? Recent maintenance? Other changes or symptoms? Sounds exactly like standard symptom of impending timing job - the result of normal chain stretch from wear / broken chain guides / tensioners unable to keep slack out of chains from leaking tensioner gasket / or chain guide debris clogging oil pump pickup degrading top end oil pressure.

Brake pads in rear were replaced few weeks ago it has 150,000 miles but the sound is not comint from under the hood or even the front of the truck at all

You have a Crew Cab? Mine has a rattle in the driverside rear door, never got around to figure out what causes it yet.

Because "rattle" is vague... is it the seat belt buckle vibrating against the plastic trim? Mine did that until some clever application of velcro strips.
