Hope someone here can help me...it's a two-part question.
I've recently bought a 2007 F-150 XLT, and while the radio works, it's display doesn't; well, if it's pitch dark you can see the faintest glow, but not enough to read it.
So, part one of the question is: How do I remove the radio? I've looked at a bunch of You-Tubes, but can't find one for mine. Some say you need to pry off the trim around the radio (in the ones I could find, but not like mine). I've added a photo below, where do I pry? Don't want to get too energetic prying the wrong area and break something!
If it doesn't need the surround removing first, I understand there's a handy-dandy removal tool that you slip in each side; that should be no problem.
Part 2 is, once I've removed the radio, is it feasible to replace the display? The radio has pretty decent sound quality, so if it's an easy fix and the part is readily available, I'll go that route, otherwise I'll just get a replacement.

Thanks in advance for your advice!
fwiw, I’d just replace with a modern unit that has Bluetooth, super nice upgrade for not a ton of money (and don’t know if you can diy replace display on yours). If you buy correct wire harness adaptor, everything will be plug and play (no cutting dash or wires).
