He bought a used 2007 f150 stx supercab not supercrew and is a 2wd.. he has 255/65/70 on it stock can i put on a 265/70/17 on it ??? if so which one of these can i run ????? check link below

.. this is the d load rating which i think would be fine for the f150 ..

this one is the e rated.. which i dont think the f150 needs a bit much of a load rating.

yes 265's will fit its only one tire size up, the brand is alot about preference, take a look at the sticky about tire and wheel fitment at the top of the 04-08 section it should answer alot of your questions, the loads come down if you tow or not depends on the use of the truck

Load rating information should be on the side of the tire. OR if you know what brand and the name of tire, you can look it up on the manufacturers websites.
Heres a few:
http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/bfgapp/index.jsp
http://www.goodyeartires.com/
http://www.firestone.com/
http://www.bridgestonetire.com/
http://www.michelin.com/portail/home/home.jsp?lang=EN
Etc, etc, etc.

As for fitment questions, refer to sticky in this section of the forum or a website like this:
http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_packages.jsp

If I were you, I would just stop by your decent local tire shop and ask for their opinion. If they've been open longer than a week I guarantee they've put rubber on enough of these F150's to know what fits and what doesn't. That way you can also get a direct opinion on traction, treadlife, and value to meet your particular needs that you won't find on a website.

You can look on the side of the spare tire to see what that load rating is for that one, it will be the same as the original set.

But X2 on visiting some tire shops, they will be more than happy to talk to you.

I looked on my 05 Scab, they are E rated.

I like the Yokohama Geolandar AT-s tires. They are quiet, they last a long time, they have great traction on road and off, and I believe the 265s have a E load rating. Good luck.

There's a "sticky" at the top of this forums page that addresses tire sizes, what fits, etc. Read that.
