Default question: options for larger throttle body (07 4.2l)

I recently sold my 99 and bought an '07 F150, 4.2l. I'm looking to put a larger TB on it, but there are no aftermarkets for it, and i haven't heard of anyone successfully switching out the OEM TB with a larger one from another vehicle. Not wanting to switch the fly-by-wire to cable, and just curious about possible options for now.

Any larger TB's compatible with the plug, if that's possible(doubt it will be that easy)? Or other general advice?

Also: the truck is sufficiently modified for this, A larger TB would be beneficial. Just figured i would throw that out there beforehand. Thanks for any advice.

not sure if you misread or what, but i have a 4.2 not the 4.6. But yeah, I just saw that one and was told that it would likely interchange in place of the 4.2l's TB anyways. idk if i want to spend $300 on a TB that would "likely" work though, i'd like to be sure about it. haha

I'm new to this. What is the benefits of a bigger TB? I put a larger TB on a car once and it lost significant power. Do you have to have any mods to have a bigger TB?

A larger throttle body isn't necessary unless you have a considerable amount of extra power. The factory TB can handle pretty much any bolt on modifications you add.

Ok. So that gives you a cfm rating of between 600-630 roughly. Considering it takes 1.5 cfm's to produce 1hp your stock throttle body is capable of supporting at least 400hp.
