You might want to check with the muffler shop and find out what kind of tubing they quoted you. The Magnaflow cat-back system is made from stainless steel, the tubing that they quoted might be aluminized steel with the stainless Magnaflow muffler.

Also, the smaller the Magnaflow, the louder it will be. I chose to go with one of the bigger ones to keep it quieter.

Good point DHB....im gonna ask them what kind of tubing they use.

SO LET ME ASK EVERYONE THIS (JUST A YES OR NO FROM EVERY1)

IS IT WORTH IT, PAYING $300 AND GETTING A MUFFLER-BACK MAGNAFLOW SYSTEM. OR IS IT NOT WORTH IT (I WOULD THEN BUY THE FULL CAT-BACK FOR 500 AND PAY FOR INSTALL)

YES = ITS WORTH IT, GOOD DEAL, WONT MAKE MUCH OF A DIFF.

NO = NOT WORTH IT, PAY MORE MONEY, WONT SOUND THE SAME

I don't think it's worth it. I would just go with the muffler. That's where most of the power gains will come from.

I went true dual - no Y pipe. Went straight from each cat to each muffler.
