Sorry, I know this has been talked about before, but I can't seem to find any of the forum posts.
I have an 05 FX4 and want to put the FX4 emblems from the new body on it. Do they align with each other? What all is involved in switching them out

Yes the pins align perfectly. You have to remove your current ones with a heat gun and fishing line or floss. Then use industrial 3M double sided tape to put the new ones on.

This a decent video. The Tailgate Emblem from a 2009-2014 wont work on your 2005. You need to order Side Emblems

The tailgate will work but if I remember right you have to get the one from a flair side for it to work. I have all of them on my 06. The new ones come with new tape on them already. Just get the old ones off with some fishing line and clean up the area good and new ones go right on.

You can use any tailgate emblem. You just have to cut the pins and sand them down to being flare and then put double sided tape and be careful to have it even when you put it on.

When you say the tailgate emblem, do you mean the one that say's F150, or the blue oval Ford emblem? I have no desire to replace the Ford emblem, only the square F150 ones
