Default Put a 115V Outlet in My Truck Today

Got this Idea from my girl friends pontiac vibe. So i went junkyard searching till I found a wrecked Vibe and pulled the setup from it. I wired the inverter to run off of the cigarette lighter power.. The Inverter fit just nice under the center console. I was patting my self on the back about how clean the install looked when I realised I screwed up , the bottom switch was too long and hit interfered with the cup holder so it was too late to cut a new hole and i guess I will have to deal with it sticking out a bit.

Like 20 bucks. I got the parts along time ago but I think he only charged me 20 bucks at junkyard. Oh and I had to buy a relay so I could get the switch and inverter to work like it did in the vibe.

Looks good! You could fix the switch by adding a collar to kind of build it out.

I was thinking that myself. if only I had set it about .5 inches lower it would have cleared the cupholder. I spent so much time making the templates and stuff it didnt occur to me to say "hey will this clear the upholders. Now i just need to figure out what material to make the collar out of

Neat. I've thought off and on about putting an inverter in my truck, but have not had a need for it as of yet.

Frikking awesome brother. I have an inverter myself but it's nothing like the set up you have. That looks cool, thanks for the pics.
