I'm looking to purchase some BFG rugged terrains off eBay or Amazon. I wanted to go through discount tire but the rugged terrain is in back order and will not be available for 2 months. I have checked several other big name shops as well, they all say the same thing. I have found a few sets in EBay and Amazon that look like they are in stock..how do you feel about purchasing tires thought those two sites?

Discount said its iffy bc the tires might have been sitting or a while and are passed the recommended se by date...

Any opinions?

Well I bought my Nittos off ebay and they have been great. But they were from discounttiredirect. Which might be affiliated with discount tire. Or maybe they made a play on the name. Not sure. But either way, I had great success. 3 year with my tires, probably due for another set in the next 6 months and will buy again online.

Discount tire direct or tire rack are the only places I will order tires.. Why not try a different tire?
I've got Rocky Mountain ats by falken on my truck... Very mild, quiet tire like those bfgs you had mentioned.. They've been nothing but good to me and cheap!

I don't have issues buying off eBay. Contact the seller and tell him to give you the tire identification number off the sidewall. The last 2 digits will be the year it was manufactured.

I was actually told by te guy at discount to stay away from those. I like the rugged terrain bc I do 80% driving on the road, 20% trails during hunting season. The rugged terrain satisfies both while maintaining good mpg's and having an aggressive look.

Try Mr. Wheel Deal, got my wheels and tires from them. Had a buddy just order tires from him though
