Gas for sure :-) Fortunately we only live a mile from the school so for now that shouldn't be too bad. As for insurance, we love in Louisiana so our insurance is a ripoff anyway. Moved her from Arkansas 10 years ago and mine more than doubled. It's so expensive here that adding him isn't going to make mine increase. I can't imagine that.

As for the tint, the dealership tinted the windows before I bought it. His uncle that I mentioned earlier who just bought the 2013 F-150 drove this truck for a bit. He has been great. He had the tint redone about 6 months ago all the way around, put a couple of new tires on it and a few other maintenance things. He took my son a couple of weeks ago and bought my son that Pioneer stereo. The tint is just the right darkness too.

That reminds me, is there a place on this forum to buy and sell or am I better off on Craigslist or something? We have the factory 6 disk MP3 stereo that was in it and in perfect shape. I'd like to see someone who needs it get it since it's in excellent condition.

Thanks again everyone. You guys are great!

I was just looking at some pics of trucks with the leveling kit. Does it raise the front or lower the rear or both? Does it make a difference in how the truck handles? Suspension, payload, etc?

I just turned 17 three months ago. Did all my mods before I turned 17 tho. First thing I wanted was tires/wheels and lift. Well I saved up the money myself, got enough for the tires and wheels and couldn't wait any longer so I didn't get the lift and just stayed leveled with 35s. Truck came tinted. I got Tailight covers, side steps, led third brake light, Harley headlights with HIDs, mesh grille. Then I finally got my sound system. Hope he likes the truck!

I'm 16 and the first thing I did to my truck was rancho shocks that leveled it and some 33" trail grapplers. It completely changed the way the truck looks. I also put a touchscreen and 2 10" subs under the back seat. I also put a bull bar with a black grille and 20" light bar. I would definitely say tires, rims, and leveling kit are the biggest things though.

The level kit is prolly the best bang for ur buck as far as lifting I Just did mine on yesterday and it looks awesome could be any happier. Haven't had an Alinement yet but a 2 1/2" kit raised it 3 1/2-4" and only cost me $80. Otis a spacer that goes between the top on the coils over and the mount and still remains the factory ride

When I was 17...

Dad gave me the 1970 Chevy Townsman he'd bought new for my mom right before he left for Viet-Nam. The first new car he'd ever bought. It was only about 6 years old and I was astounded that he gave me a car! I certainly never expected him to. It never occured to me that I would be given a vehicle. That boat seated eight, had a fold down back seat, and a 400 small block. Good times .

Nowadays, I guess (at 17) I would want wide wheels/tires, loud exhaust, loud stereo...
