Default Problems with 04 5.4

I have a 04 FX4 with a 5.4L, I was traveling down the highway and it started to feel like it was starving for gas. i pulled into a gas station and filled it up. ran great for another mile and happened again. shut it off. checked the oil and trans fluid. looked good. drove great for 2 miles and happened again. this time i heard a little sequel and it stalled. when i tried to start it again it seems like the engine is locked.

It was throwing codes like p0012, p0300, p0301, p0305.

what size socket do i need to turn the engine over by hand on the crankshaft?

what could it be?

I believe the crank bolt is 18mm. Does your engine have oil in it? Is your battery dead?

When was the last time you changed your fuel filter? Also, make sure to check your FPDM (on the axle behind your spare tire) and make sure it has not coroded out.

Ill check it. no idea on the fuel filter. just bought it from the dealer back in September. what that got to do with the starter not turning the engine?

Sorry, I was not looking at the engine locked issue. Just the starved for fuel issue.

Can you turn the crankshaft with a breaker bar? If you can, maybe your battery connections are poor/corroded?

What symptoms are you having that seems like fuel starvation? The starter has nothing to do with how your truck is running. However a poor battery cable connection or ground could cause your symptoms.
