Seriously? Loosen tensioner, remove belt, remove pulley, replace belt. How long should that take?

Oh thats right, everything is taken so damn literally these days....snowflakes

This. They are $5 at Harbor Freight. I couldn't tell where my whine was coming from either. I decided to go ahead and replace the pulleys, tensioner, and the belt. But wanted to be sure something else wasn't the cause. The stethoscope very quickly showed me it was one the pulleys making all the noise. It was blatantly obvious once I have the probe on the bolt that held it to the engine.

Sure, if you do it in the middle of summer. Seriously, though, you should wait till the engine is cool to actually work on it.
