Considering purchasing an 06 F150,5.4 with 250,000 miles,hesitant to buy any vehicle with that high mileage, but since it will be a 3rd vehicle and used very little,I'm thinking pretty hard about buying it. Would it be reliable enough to just use it periodically, about 4k miles per year? Thanks.

If you’re looking for a used truck from this generation, stick with the 4.6 V8. Pass on the 5.4 3v.

That’s way too many miles for a 5.4. I’d pass myself.

i have 205k on mine(original owner) and things have to repaired consistently. I only keep mine because I have it already I’d never buy one with over 150k miles.

as I’m typing this my radiator is leaking and needs to be replaced lol. Anything over 150k miles to me is when things start falling apart.

Welcome. As others have said, there are better (safer) deals out there. You’re on borrowed time at that point with the 5.4 3V.
