Popping/clicking noise inside brake pedal
I have an 07 STX special edition and mine just started popping today. I hear it inside the cab when I barely touch the pedal. Have any of you seen this? My brake light is lite up but that's been that way and its caused by the solder joint in the instrument panel cluster.

That's the solenoid that locks out the gear shift. It keeps you from putting the truck in drive or reverse without first putting your foot on the brake.

Is this a sign that it's going bad? And if so for buying purposes is it called the parking brake solenoid or parking break switch as someone else suggested?

It's called a "shift interlock solenoid": https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/ford,2006,f-150,5.4l+v8,1432394,transmission-automatic,shift+interlock+solenoid,16116

No, not a sign of failure. You can feel it slightly, and hear the clack in the steering wheel when pressing on the brake. That's normal. I think you just never noticed it before. They're just audible in our trucks. In my parent's 2004 Chevy Aveo, you can just barely hear it.
