Hey Cameron Wish I could help. This has been frustrating. The popping has stopped all by itself several months ago. The clicking is still there but very minor and just noticeable when backing up or pulling forward for the first few feet. Did nothing to warrant the noise stopping. Ford couldn't figure it out and my dad and I both couldn't figure it out. We are both gear heads and have been around vehicles for a long time. I even had a ford mechanic that's a family friend listen to it when it was making the noise and couldn't determine what it was or where it was coming from. For now, and like ford said, I'm just waiting for it to either get worse or something to break so they know what to fix. I am skeptical it's a wheel bearing as a bad wheel bearing would get hot and make a different noise. But who knows at this point. My best guess is something in the 4x4 system or a suspension component.

I know my basics, but not really mechanically inclined. I'll have to search around on how to test that.

My 4WD still works, and I've noticed that I can here the noise while in 4WD as well. Just noticable at really low speeds (10-15mph). I'm guessing it's always there, but the road noise and enigne is blocking it out at higher speeds.
