Default Poll time. Cam phaser/ fatal engine issues or not?

Easy poll. If you’ve had your cam phasers replaced (or they’re bad but still not replaced) or the entire engine replaced, vote “yes”. Also click the mileage range. If you’ve never had them replaced, vote “no” and click your mileage range.

DONT FORGET TO MAKE TWO SELECTIONS. Either Yes or No and the mileage range.

Just trying to gather empirical data.

Yes, Engine #2 at 160K. Just replaced a dead VCT solenoid at 173K.

I replaced mine, along with timing chains, tensioners and VCT solenoids at 125k miles before they went bad. Truck still runs great.

So technically you could still be running the original phasers, you just did them as precaution? If so, vote No and the mileage.

My 08 had roughly 75K when I got rid of it. No engine related issues during my ownership.

Default LACK of understanding will skew results against triton phasers

I'll participate in your poll, but ^^^there's the problem with it, in my view'. All the idiots out there that don't 'really' understand "phaser problems", and think the roller/foller and lash adjuster 'TICK', or other strange noises (like lifter tick) that this gen makes, and a whole host of other stupid problems that they blame on 'BAD' phasers will skew the vote.

I'll nevertheless be interested in the results.
