Default Plugs again...

I stopped by the local dealership to set up an oil change in response to a cupon they sent me. I inquired about changing my spark plugs now at 28K miles. The service rep goes off on me, that the plugs are good till 100K, why would you want to change them? I explained that I am aware that the plugs I currently possess are two piece, pieces of crap and I dont want them anymore. His position is that I'm screwed now so I might as well wait untill 100K to try changing the plugs because they are probably going to break anyway. I'm telling him that the chances are much better now to get them out than in six plus years and he just didnt see my point of view. When I asked hin how much, he said to change the plugs, $250 and if they break it goes to $500 and up, depending on how bad it gets. This is clearly a faulty design and faulty parts used by Ford engineers who seem unwilling to make a wrong by their doing right for their customers. I am mulling my options, what do you guys think?
