Since I received my Adams polishes the other day, I decided to just tinker around a little on my truck......I'm going to be doing a full paint correction in Spring, but just wanted to see exactly where I was at as far as how much work it's going to take.....This was after a few passes with the medium polish and orange pads......................

I've done several vehicles using what I refer to as paint "restoration".
Be sure and wash and dry really good first, then a good clay bar application before beginning any buffing to ensure all debris are removed from the surface. Also helps the buffing process along as now it doesnt have to remove all the materials the clay bar did.
I've not used Adams before. Know nothing about it actually. Let us know how it works.
What are the abrasive ratings for each?
Using foam pads?
Do you got a D/A to apply with or regular buffer? RPM"S ? Size?
I usually use M105 on surfaces that are extrmely scratched and oxidized. Use some Ultimate Compound after that if necessary. Followed up with some M205. And finally a good hand application with whatever your favorite carnuba is.
I like to finish with a good carnuba due to the oils in it. I like to make sure the paint is saturated after such a process.
Did this on my old 08 work truck with great results. Plastics and all.

To my knowledge, the truck had NEVER been waxed. It was only washed 2 times in 3 years I drove it. Bought it from company when they got me a new truck at a great deal and cleaned it up to try and make a few dollars off it.
Was a good project to learn on. More I did, better it looked. I probably had 60hrs total in the paint restoration. But.....it was worth it.
