How did you take the fake lugs and Ford emblem apart from the caps? Im painting mine and it looks to be easier apart. Thanks I like the black cap but would do more of the rims black also

sorry for the late response.. there are little tabs holding the faceplate to the whole cap, about 6 I believe, just pry them out (they are metal but still be careful) and push them back in when you're done

Dude, the chrome lugs with the ford emblem not black looks awesome. I'm going to do it to mine. What prep work did you do ?

I like the chrome lugs and regular ford emblem, take it a step further and plastidip the rest of the wheel except the machined part that pokes out all the way around.

thanks man.. and prep work = remove center caps, take them apart (about 7 metal tabs just get pulled away) into two pieces, clean, and spray... and I'm about to get new rims soon anyways but thanks for all the help appreciate it

You dont, paint the whole thing and peel the emblem and lugs when you get done.

I plasti dipped one rim last night taped it all of where I wanted it to be silver the when I took the tape off alot of the plasti dip came along with the tape and it kinda looks like crap. What is the trick to the plasti dip not stretching and peeling away with the tape? I tried cutting it off but didn't help much. Here's a pic of what I'm trying to do
