The stock 6cd-mp3 unit in mine was POS.
Even a Dual brand double din (if they make one) would be better. I even contemplated putting the marine cd player from my 4 wheeler in this thing. lol

Did you have the factory subwoofer?
I´m pretty happy with the sound in mine but there´s no mid range due to the non existing equilizer in the oem headunit. So i´m thinking about changing headunit, but i´m worried about the factory sub connections.
Sweet looking install btw!

Mine still had the second harness though. From what I read it's just there to be there and does nothing.
I wonder if I could buy a factory sub kit from someone and still use that wiring for that sub?
Honestly though it would probably be cheaper to just use RCA outs on the back of my headunit though for the sw.

Audiophile's have three harnesses, main, RSE/Sirius/Aux, and Subwoofer.
I've got my audiophile sub from my truck over here in Gulfport if your interested in buying one, but with an aftermarket head unit, I'd recommend going with an aftermarket sub set up anyway.

Yeah, but what's the extra harness for in the 6d-mp3 with no factory sub?
Also, does it work and how much do you want? I really could care less if anyone can hear the sub but me. I wouldn't need the headunit.
Also, this goes under the rear seat right? Also, I have no idea what that setup even looks like. The audiophile sub that is.

Thing is, there is no gain control on the amp and there is no crossover built in, so you're head unit would have to be able to control sub level and low pass crossover the output to use it. The sub is decent for what it is, but since you've already got an aftermarket head unit, I would highly recommend going aftermarket. I'd want to get around $150 for the stock stuff, and you could get a budget 10", box, and used amp for that.
Here's a pic of the Audiophile sub installed:
