Default Pioneer Double Din installed :)

Took about 2 hours because I have fits of retardation from time to time.

Otherwise very straight forward with a harness kit and installation bracket.

Also hooked up the sirius (still need to activate it) and the bluetooth hands free.

Pics taken with Hero Android.

Also, another sentence with a smiley.

haha

Clean look. I installed a AVIC D2 (used off of EBay a year ago). Bought the Ford F150 double DIN kit, and wiring harness. Took less than an hour with the kit.

Yeah, if I didn't have to route the wires for the microphone and 3 cables for the sirius (aux wire, sat wire, pwr wire) and then lose a screw to holds the headunit in place I would have been done a log sooner. lol\

I did find the screw though. After I went and got another screw. It was in the seat.

Clean install, looks awesome. About a month ago, I installed a DD Pioneer AVIC310BT in my truck, and it was a pain due to the cutting and trimming. But, looks like you were able to somewhat avoid that

I'm not good enough for those kind of custom installs. lol

This is just a kit I ordered off of amazon for 15 bucks.

Mine went into a 2001, so the dash wasn't quite double din, and in the back it wasn't even close to DDin. But, looks great. Pioneer makes some great head units as well.

Did you have the factory subwoofer?
I´m pretty happy with the sound in mine but there´s no mid range due to the non existing equilizer in the oem headunit. So i´m thinking about changing headunit, but i´m worried about the factory sub connections.

Sweet looking install btw!

No factory sub but the harness is there. I didn't need to use it.

Looks great! Wish I could do it. I just have to many fears of the truck being broke into.

Install a gun rack in the back window first....most crooks get the hint of who you are, then go look for an easier target.
