On my Fusion, I stuck the old AVH-P3300BT in (with the GEX920). I didn't think about throwing the antenna up on the dash, probably wouldn't have been a bad idea haha.
My 2005 F150 FX4, I'm running the AVH-X8500BHS as well with the SXV200, added the rear view camera, and just waiting for the Nav AVIC-U250 (didn't really need it but meh). I've tied my remote start to kick the stereo out during remote start operation so my phone doesn't link up, etc... I didn't have factory Sirius on my F150 so I had no choice but to use the outside antenna. As for the deck so far, I love it too! Very happy I bought it. A significant upgrade from my AVH-P3300BT. I learned that the old relay trick doesn't work for the bypass on the 2013 series Pioneer decks though LOL.
I run a 5 channel amp for all of my speakers and sub (8" kicker)... I've upgraded my wiring later thinking it would make a big difference, and honestly I can't really tell any difference. I have 75 watts per channel to Focal speakers (tweeters in the front). There's a lot of debate on this but the good note is changing the wiring out was relatively easy on our trucks.

Just Creepin
I did it on a 96 sable. It was god awful getting them through the big clump of factory wires that already to through the rubber hose to the door.
Looking back, I butchered that car learning to install audio lol. so many cut wires and new wires everywhere and several wiring 'upgrades'

Quick update. As it turns out you do have to call Sirius and have then switch your subscription to the new receiver (AVX-200). The new receiver comes with a 5 day subscription. So when I plugged it in last week I had Sat right away. But last night it went away. So I called and they promptly moved my subscription from the factory unit to the AVX-200. Even waived the $15 fee. All is well.
Loving the new sound in my truck.
