Why choose 2.5" over 2" and visa versa? That's what it's coming down to for me, choosing between that .5" Here is my truck as it stands right now:

BFG All Terrain T/A KO 265-70-17.
I plan on putting a brushguard on the front very soon.

<insert expert advice here>

Thanks guys,
Anthony

I would go with a 2.5" kit since you will be adding a brush guard.

i agree, if you are putting the extra weight on the front a 2.5" would even out the effect. I used a 2" because it is my wifes 4x4 and there will not be anything else added to the body. Got to love those REDNECK woman that want 4x4s. Anthony, are you going to regear the truck when you put those 35"s on it? You most likely have 3:73s and you will lose the low end after you put those tires on. I need to put 4:10s or even 4:56s in wifes .

Definitely go with the 2.5" if going with the brush gaurd...assuming you are putting a heavy steel 1 piece welded bolt-on and not a lighter weight westin or manik style guard.

I need to upload a more recent series of pictures as I have an approximately 150 to 200 lb guard on the front of mine and I am almost wishing it sat as high as before the guard but after installing the AS 2.5" again. Guard and hybrid assist lights are definitely worth the slight rake again though.

I notice how some of you guys are saying go 2.5'' leveling kit if you're adding a brushguard or something to the front. I have a 2'' autospring leveling kit and I have a Westin push bar installed and the front of my truck still sits a little bit higher than the rear. I think if I went 2.5'' it would have been noticeably higher in the front while now its off a bit. Does it differ which model f-150 you have ?

Truck had the kit on when I bought it, the owner gave me all receipts and it looks like the lift kit was around 2K a couple years back.
