You're correct, I quoted the wrong text. I'll blame it on the weak coffee, lol.

That is like cutting off your arm because you broke a bone. Totally overreacting.

Why would I give up MPG and HP/TQ for about the same cost as fixing it correctly.

Let's try this then.

Anyone found a less expensive place to purchase the OEM phasers? I have done some searching but not extensively. The best I found was OEM for twice the price of the Doorman units. Anyone found better?

Did you call your local Ford dealer's parts department? I have yet to get a quote on a part from them that was higher than ebay, amazon or Rockauto. When it comes to OEM parts, my dealer has my business.

If you know any mechanics or shop owners, see if they might buy them wholesale for you and you pay them back.

I don't think you'll find MC parts for less than double what the Dorman phasers cost. Best I did was get a Ford dealership to match the price of Tasca (they thought I said I was from a local repair shop, when they found out it was a personal purchase they tried to up the price to like 340 each).

Nothing in Canada is cheaper than Ebay, Amazon, Rockauto, etc.
I am close to the border and have a shipping address on the US side so I usually have items shipped there free and just run across and pick them up. Unfortunately our dollar has gone for a crap so it is less viable now.

I get jobber (shop) price everywhere, still far more expensive than US prices I have put a little pressure on my local Ford dealer to get better pricing.
