Perimeter Lighting and puddle lamps
Hey all,
I recently installed tow mirrors on my 05 xlt and i wanted to rig up the puddle lights but i have my perimeter lighting disabled to save my hids. so what im wondering is if i can rig the puddle lights to come on but still not let my hids come on when i unlock the truck

I did the headlight disable trick on my 08 when I put my HID’s in last month. My puddle lights and bed light still come on, just not the headlights. You might try doing it again, cant remember the exact sequence, but its in your manual.

Ok that's just what I needed to hear... I haven't rigged the puddle lamps yet, I just thought they would be a part of the perimeter lighting, but if they arnt then that's a plus and i can rig them now

Puddle lights come on with the interior lights not the head lights.
If your interior lights stay on after you have closed the door, your puddle lights will do the same
