PCV Valve NEED HELP!!!!!PLEASE
I had a code P0506, I looked it up, it told me it was the PCV Valve. I called the parts house they dont have the valve. I called the dealer they want me to buy the entire valve cover assy. its 146 dollars. How do I get just the PVC Valve. My truck is a 2005 FX4 5.4L please help, part number or anything would be good. Can I still run the truck with out problems till I get this fixed.

The dealership will try to sell you all the individual parts. The pcv valve is just that a valve off the airbox to the drivers side valve cover and from the throttle body to the passengers side valve cover. These are simple to replace and cost maybe 20 bucks. Autozone, pepboys, any of those should have said part.

ok I looked online at Motorcraft.com and the part does not look anything like what the book is showing that i bought from the parts store, then i callled the parts house and im now hearing that my truck does not even have valve that can be changed by itself. It is on the inside an is serviced when the whole valve cover comes off. Maybe that is not my problem, maybe the problem is comming from something else. I have the banks intake installed on my truck. I have had it on sence the truck had 16,000 miles it has 80,000 now. Any other idea's guys
