whats a good jack i can get?? im about to get an 8 inch lift put on and some 37s or 38s but my normal jack doesnt do the job.. whats a good jack that i can buy to get the job done??? something that lifts up high.. i dont want to add blocks or anything but i need something i can carry or use at home when i get a flat or stranded on the highway with a flat tire.. thanks for the info.. also if you have the name of the website or store i can buy it from id appreciate it

So I think I will go against some hard core off road opinions here but I would recommend a bottle jack (or small red 2-4 ton jack from autozone) and a 4x4x4 or 6x6x6 wood block. I know this sounds crazy but you can jack either from the rear diff or the front lower control arms quite easily with those and your 37" tires. That is all you need to lift it up to change a flat like you described. Also I was able to fit the bottle jack in a bag along with some extra tools in the exact same location as the factory jack under the rear passenger seat.

I thought about getting a HI-Lift myself but I didn't like the idea of using such a tall jack with such a tall truck. Think about once you have that 60" Hi-Lift hooked into your front hooks or even using the attachment and hooked on your rims, to get it off the ground the actual jack point will be close to 5' off the ground and probably a little wobbly. Also on the F150 there are not many mounting points on the sides of the truck so you are only left with the rear hitch receiver or front hooks or loops.

Now if money is not an object I was really considering the Bushranger Inflatable X-Jack.

I don't think you'll ever lift something 5ft off the ground, but when your bumper is already 4ft high and you need to lift it 12"....

what are some places i can use the jack if ive got a flat?? tow tooks.. hitch.. bumper? i dont want to bend apart of the truck.. and these always seem highly recommended so id like to order one but ive only seen alot of people have them with jeeps just not sure where id jack it up on my truck without bending or breaking a part

The air bag looks pretty cool, and it looks like it stow's away pretty easy.

Has anyone used the bumper lift on the newer F150s. Do the bumpers hold up to the weight of the vehicle when jacking?

I still have my 48" Hi-Lift from when I had a Jeep. Haven't thrown it in the truck yet due to the lack of good jacking points.
