Hey man my dad has an 04 fx4 5.4 with 95k. We bought this truck within two weeks of them first coming out..cam phasor started at like 30k never had it fixed truck runs great no problems so far just makes noise big deal. so from my experience don't worry about the cam phasor

 

7k for trade-in for an 05 screw... wow... that seems very low

 

Don't take less than KBB trade in on it... at the least...

$7000 for an 05 super crew? They just got $21,500 out of me on my 07 screw with 60,000 miles on it. Hell they even claimed to have gone through it and checked everything, noticed a week later the god damn coolant was below the cold fill line when the engine was cold.

Try another dealer, about 15 months or so back I had some monetary issues and traded my truck in for my 01 f-150 that I just canned for the above truck...

Took my frontier to a Nissan Dealer. They wanted to give me $12,500 on an 07 frontier with 31k miles on it... and sell me an 01 crew cab frontier with 90k miles on it for $14,000. I took it to a smaller dealer where I ultimately bought my truck and they offered me $16,000 which allowed me quite a bit towards my 01.

Big Dealerships are a joke, and used car dealers don't give a crap about you most of the time... its a lose lose...
